Disk Space

Disk space is the amount of data you can store on a web host's server. Each character in a document counts as one byte. Images can easily reach sizes of 100,000 bytes (100 kilobytes), with downloads exceeding 1,000,000 bytes (1 megabyte) easily.

It is important to remember that disk space is not just the size of your web pages. Other stuff such as email and databases also count as disk space used.
