Many web hosts offer flexible methods of payment, both in processing and billing cycle.

Popup payment methods are recurring credit card and PayPal subscription. For credit card use, either using a direct merchant account or a payment processor like 2checkout, companies charge you a fee every billing cycle. A similar method is used with PayPal, except that it is a subscription there.

In order to obtain your business, web hosts will often give discounts for extended billing. It is normal to see discounts of 25% on a monthly fee if you agree to pay for one full year first. While this may save you money, ensure that you do proper **research** on your web host - web hosting companies spring up and die all the time.
